Leo - A Boy With Special Needs
Leo is a lovely eight year old boy who needs a special home. It needs to be child, cat and dog-free and his family will need to understand him and his quirky ways. He has been in a foster home for a while and he has come along way since first coming to us. Leo has anxiety issues and will need a home where these can be managed, his foster family have worked closely with a behaviourist and are seeing an improvement and his true bouncy character, belying his age. He is a charming boy who takes time to trust and is loving and affectionate once he does. The support of the behaviourist will continue should this be necessary. If you can offer Leo a special home and would like to know more then please call Karen Kerby on 01869 321010 or e-mail Karen.email@example.com
Missy is a lovely 5 year old girl who has come into our care due to an unfortunate change in family circumstances. She is a friendly, sensitive soul who is used to living with children of all ages, from teenage to toddler, but would not be happy to share her new home with any other pets.
She is a strong girl on her lead when she decides to pull, and we don’t know how she would behave with another dog off lead. She will need work on her socialising skills, so further training would be required, however she knows all the basic commands already – but in typical Boxer fashion, she can be a little selective!
She is spayed, and is now fully vaccinated. When I took her to the vets she was lovely, despite being prodded, poked and given a full check over. She is very excitable, and reacted to other dogs who barked at her in the vet, but her tail was wagging at the same time!!
Missy is currently in kennels near Milton Keynes, and we would love to find her a new home as soon as possible.
If you think you could give Missy a loving home, please get in touch with Karen Kerby on 01869 321010 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
POSTED ON BEHALF OF HAPPY LANDINGS DOG RESCUE, SHEPTON MALLETT, SOMERSET
Ollie is a 7 year old Boxer dog who is desperately looking for his perfect happy ever after home.
Ollie needs experienced owners who have the patience to give him all the time and space he needs to settle into a new home environment and to find his confidence there. Ollie needs a quiet adult only home, ideally with just 1 – 2 adults who invest time getting to know and to understand Ollie. He is a very sensitive boy who can easily be misunderstood, but there is a big heart in Ollie and a strong desire to belong.
Ollie will need time to get to know and trust you, but is a wonderfully comical, playful and extremely affectionate dog when he has found that trust. He loves to make you laugh, loves playtime, cuddles and interaction. As you can see from the photos, once he does know you he is a lap dog in the making and certainly very happy to snuggle under a blanket on the sofa!
Ollie is good with other dogs and could happily live with a doggy friend. He has good basic obediance and is good both on and off the lead. He does not worry about having to spend a few hours home on his own so would not mind an owner that works part time. Ollie cannot live with cats.
If you are interested in offering this boy a home or knowing more, contact Happy Landings on 01749 860350
POSTED ON BEHALF OF LARGE BREED DOG RESCUE
Olly is a six year old white boy in need of a new home. He is a friendly boy but can be reserved to start with in new environments . He can be stubborn on the lead and just stand still. He requires coaxing to move along. Olly has not had the best start to life but this is going to change. Because of Olly's past experiences we would say no to children under 12 years old and for those older to be savvy with larger breeds. He does not seem concerned by other dogs but we shall know more when he has been with us longer and we have completed his assessment. If you would like to know more about Olly , please contact Large Breed Dog Rescue direct. Their facebook page provides details for making contact.
Ruby - In Urgent Need Of A New Home
Sadly Ruby is seeking a new home because of her owner's failing health. She loves people and is really good in the home. She is good with visiting children aged 5+ but has no experience of younger ones. She is not fond of other dogs or cats but does not make a fuss if they walk close to the house or garden. She is not getting the exercise she needs and can therefore pull a bit at first. When exercised regularly she is good on the lead. She has been exercised off lead but not when other dogs are in view. Ruby is aged over 8 and therefore will be covered by our Oldies policy regarding health and vet care. If you think you can offer Ruby a home or would like to know more please contact Lorraine Harvey on 01926 429903 or Lorraine.email@example.com. Ruby is currently in the West Midlands
